Zone was a group that includes girls that have quite an entertainment education, in both music and dance (though as their careers became more successful, they moved away from the dance part of things). In 2003, original member Takayo would depart from Zone to be replaced by Nishimura Tomoka (who had originally auditioned for Zone, but was cut for being too tall). This group disbanded in 2005, as three of the members were soon to graduate from high school. Miyu would pursue a solo career, and Maiko would form another all-female unit called "Maria".
