Okuda Tamio
Information:
In the late 80's and early 90's, Okuda debuted as the vocalist for the rock band Unicorn (which was a very different style from the music he writes now). When the band brokeup in 1993, he went into his solo career (which he had started just prior to the breakup) full-swing. Okuda would also later discover two women who worked in his office (Ami Ounuki and Yumi Yoshimura), who he would turn into the folk rock group Puffy. He wrote many of their early songs, and was the person responsible for their image, and getting them started. He produced them solely at first, but then a partner of his in his solo career Andy Sturmer alternated producing singles with him. Andy Sturmer would later pretty much take the reins himself.
