Kawashima Ai was originally debuted as an enka singer in 1999, but she wasn't successful. In 2002, Kawashima and Nao started I WiSH as a street group, with nothing but the two of them and an electric piano. In 2005 the group would break up, and Kawashima would go on to pursue a solo career.
