This group began their career as a simple three piece band, but now typically records with strings, keyboards, piano, etc. They often have a support band or small orchestra when playing live. to play these various instruments.

Sakurai Kazutoshi of Mr. Children (who also happens to be on the same label as Remioromen) encouraged vocalist Fujimaki to keep the chorus to their breakout single "konayuki" more rough, instead of giving it a softer sound.

The group's name does not have any particular significance, and was adopted from attempts to come up with a unique name that is a play on words.
