So much time had passed already
I had no sense of reality, with a feeling that seemed like lack of sleep
As I stared at the ceiling, I remembered your body heat

The night was a little ways off in the distance

We always made fun of each other
Though it should have been just banter, one day
You didn't hear it as a joke, and before I knew it, you had started crying

To be terribly confused, that's what you chose
