At a big intersection
I started to go with the green light
I skipped a step going down the stairs a few hours ago
And hit one going up

It seems as though an answer and a meaning
Will appear in time
Right now I'm not strong enough to the point I worry about it
And just look for results
I can't say anything wise
And I try to hoist up my ideals without apology

The things that someone can do
Live within
The truths that everyone accepts
So I can hold on to my pride
If that's not the case, you and I
Can't love

The next move will be the winning one
In the all-night offensive-defensive game
On the chess board in front of me
I am a player forced to make a decision
Or am I a chess piece?

Imagining all sorts of things
In the poster of a weekly dirty magazine
I was absorbed in a grief-filled novel
If society, desires, and myself
Are apt to inconsistencies
In the end, I'll try to put them all on the line in my hand

We walk on
Letting a great many of our hopes swell
Complaining during
Mundane times
On toward the best stage
Given only to me

The things that someone can do
Live within
The truths that everyone accepts
So I can hold on to my pride
If that's not the case, you and I
Can't love

Gazing at the rainbow after the rain
We think about the future that we can flap our wings toward
But because your unsteady footing
Is what holds up the day
I can move forward
To the best stage
