Aragaki is a Japanese idol who models, acts, sings, does voice work for anime series, and sometimes hosts radio programs. She is regarded amongst many Japanese as having an extremely beautiful face.

Aragaki came into the world of entertainment by auditioning for junior fashion magazine "nicola", and won its Grand Prix award. After becoming a part of the magazine, her fellow model Enamoto Ayako nicknamed her "Gakki". This nickname has stuck, and people often use it to refer to her.

In 2004 Aragaki would return to being a gravure idol, and put her career with nicola on hold. At this time she also began to appear on more variety programs and in more commercials. Many may recognize her from a series of Glico commercials for Pocky. In 2005, she would leave nicola (though she has since occasionally appeared in the magazine) and begin acting in TV dramas. She has been in many popular dramas such as "Dragon Zakura", "Kanojo no Koibumo", "Gal Circle", and "My Boss, My Hero".

In 2007 she would start her music career alongside roles in several films and a drama. Apparently her health suffered this year because of her lack of sleep. She would later write in her blog that she was fully recovered though.
