Takahashi is best known for her performance of songs featured in popular anime series, most noteably the songs that she performed for the anime series "Neon Gensis Evangelion" ("zankoku na tenshi no thesis", a version of "Fly Me to the Moon", and "tamashii no refrain"). She has also performed theme songs for Evangelion's 20th anniversary series, "Shakugan no Shana", and "Pumpkin Scissors".
