When the band originally formed in 1998, the drummer was named Wacchan. In 1999, he left the band. After doing some hurried auditioning, they took on guitarist Kazuya's younger brother Yoshiaki. 175R has also collaborated on songs with popular punk group Shaka Labbits (on the single "Stand By You"), and with Kick the Can Crew rapper MCU (on the single "Orange").
