 First Jdorama, Kdrama and HKdrama
Let's all share our first Japanese, Korean and Hong Kong dramas and maybe a little something about how you got interested in asian drama series.
As for me, I kinda just evolved from anime to japanese drama at Japan-Tv's website http://drama.afraid.org/. I soon found http://d-addicts.com/ and got hooked on Korean drama as well. I guess all this happend about 2 - 3 years ago.
Jdorama:
Summer Snow
Starring: Dohmoto Tsuyoshi and Hirosue Ryoko
Kdrama:
Sweet 18
Starring: Han Ji-hye and Lee Dong-gun
HKdrama:
Slim Chances
Starring: Lydia Sum and Fennie Yuen

Well... so far I've watched more jap dramas than korean, and NO chinese dramas.. why? I don't like chinese LOL. Well I do but not to watch chinese dramas. And I began to like dramas because of Johnnys of course, and more specially because of my Takki <333 when I saw Strawberry on the Shortcake, the music, the plot, everything made me love it, but the first drama I saw was in 1997 (1998?) it was called Garasu no Kamen, and since then I have always been in love with Seiichi Tanabe. He's my lifetime favourite actor, every single drama/movie with him is veeeery nice, well I love his acting skills.... and the first kdrama I remember watching I think was Beautiful Days... but well, I have seen some that might be earlier to it ^^

well... for me, my first jdarama probably Beach Boys. where takashi sorimachi, yutaka takeunochi and ryoko hirosue acted. followed by GTO. and then i become sorimachi's fan . as for HK drama.. hmm.. i really don't remember. i'm not into Kdrama at the beginning, so i realy don't followed winter sonata and autumn in my heart although they really popular here. my first series that makes me watched it from beginning till the end was full House.

Um.. I think my first J-drama was Hero... I think. It was either that or GTO. I can't remember back that far
First Korean Drama was Stairway to Heaven. MAN! That drama has a way of making you hate life and want to end it all. Much like well, every korean drama I've ever watched.
Um, I don't think I've watched any chinese dramas. Unless I'm forgetting something. x.x

Wah.. A great start. 1 Litre of Tears is one of the best shows I've seen. Never cried as much as I did watching something as I did when I watched it.
You really had a great introduction into the world of drama. No doubth about that.

Full House is good. But it's a typical korean drama. Three-way love situation that goes back and forth. It can't be to compared to 1 Litre of Tears.
Hmm.. Korean drama.. Sweet Spy, Sweet 18, Delightful Girl Choon-Young, Romance... there are many good korean dramas. Check those out if you wanna try it some day.

Sweet Spy and Rude Woman are different. No love triangle as in almost all other korean dramas.
But some love triangles arn't bad. Hmm.. have you seen My Girl yet Pandashin? It has a suprice ending involving Delightful Girl. Not saying anything more!

you're so right but you know what else a Kdrama can't be without? Something awful happening and/or such an unbelievably sad ending that you want to gouge your eyes out. Stupid Koreans Is it REALLY that bad?

I haven't seen a drama yet with a sad ending. All the shows I've seen has had happy ending in some way.
Stupid koreans?.. I kinda like their stuff
