The things that are written in Instruction Manuals are important... and some of us don't even care to read them and even throw them in the rubbish bin.

However, Japanese people are experts in putting some useless or senseless directions, such as:

子供に触れさせないこと - Kodomo ni furesasenai koto - Don't leave at the reach of children... OK... this an be useful in certain things and there might be an accidents.

浴槽の中に使わないで下さい - Yokusou no naka ni tsukawanaide kudasai - Don't use inside the bathtub... WTF?!? How are you going to put a 32" TV in your bathtub???

Now, I'll leave you with a riddle...

When I was in Japan, I bought a certain product. That product of course had instruction manuals attached, but I didn't read it since I knew how to use this. However, one day I found it and decided to read it, and frankly, I cracked up at the following sentence:

.... ネクタイを外してください.... - Nekutai wo hazushite kudasai - Please take off your necktie.

The words that come before and after this sentence are "keywords" to know what it's about, but, I don't think it's needed to write "necktie" especially.

Now you know which product am I talking about?

A clue... in the manual it was written something else:

風を長時間直接体に当てないで下さい。特に病人、乳幼児、老人、心臓に弱い人、泥酔した人などは冷えすぎると健康のためよくありません.
Kaze wo choujikan chokusetsu karada ni atenaide kudasai. Toku ni byounin, nyuuyouji, roujin, shinsou ni yowai hito, deisui shita hito na do wa hiesugiru to kenkou no tame yoku arimasen.

Don't let the wind fall directly over the body for an extended time. Especially sick people, lactant babies, elders, people with heart illness or disease, drunk people, excesive cooling is bad for health.

Well if both of those things were from the same product, I'm not too sure...with just the necktie, I was going to guess a paper or document shredder. But now I'm not so sure...

LOL, maybe it was a bit difficult to guess ^^;;;

That's why you shouldn't use it with your necktie hahaha, it might get in there XD
