Gundam Seed and Gundam Seed Destiny Theme Songs Translation
Dear Mognet:
Could someone please make some Gundam Seed and Gundam Seed Destiny Theme Songs Translation requests asap?
The 1st one I'd like to see translated is See-Saw's "Kimi wa Boku ni Niteiru (君は僕に似ている)", "You really resemble me", which is the 4th and Final Ending Theme Songs of Gundam Seed Destiny.
Here are the orginal lyrics below:

Re: Gundam Seed and Gundam Seed Destiny Theme Songs Translation
Your request has now been officially entered into the request queue. Unfortunately, ASAP for us right now is November 25th, so hopefully you don't mind the wait. Just sit tight until then, and we'll get it done for you.

I'd like to use orange because it's T.M.Revolution's favourite colour...

I think they are good colours... besides, if they made your eyes bleed, I think the whole would make your eyes bleed since it's black with orange

I forget what was though...? Excuse me, but could you please type your message more clearly and formally? I'd like to put out another Gundam Seed Destiny Theme Song, "Vestige" by T.M.Revolution, AKA Takanori Nishikawa, with its original Japanese Lyrics and English Translation below: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Vestige Lyrics: Akio Inoue Music: Daisuke Asakura
English Translation:
As I clenched my fists, I crushed them too hard; In my wishes, my palms still bleed. My endless wings resemble so much like chains, Because of their weight, I could go nowhere. With the almost lost naive eyes they have, People think about the stars which never return.
Upon the respective lights we've hung, We keep them bloom with our lives. As we carry them on towards our destiny, Engraving them with brillance, they are the gentle vestige of our times.
As they ended, even though I cried, I've made replacements; So then, should everything exist in order to let us forget about them? Tomorrow is like the feathers falling from the heaven. Even though it's a painful vision to awake from.
If being hurt within a deep dream, which we called it "Live!"; Then the only truth is unfading you, What we're leaving behind here, It's the radiant but transient vestiges of us.
Upon the respective lights we've hung, We keep them bloom with our lives. As we carry them on towards our destiny, Engraving them with brillance, they are so gentle.
If being hurt within a deep dream, which we called it "Live!"; Then the only truth is unfading you, What we're leaving behind here, It's the radiant but transient vestiges of us.------------------------------------------ I hope I did a better tranlation, since I've actually studied Japanese 11 and 12 before...
Thanks, bye!

Re: Gundam Seed and Gundam Seed Destiny Theme Songs Translation
Here's "Ignited" by T.M.Revolution, which is the 1st OP Theme of Gundam Seed Destiny:Ignited 作詞: Akio Inoue 作曲: Daisuke Asakura
Now, I wish that someone would like to really use direct translation/transliteration in order to express the mood and tone of the song, please!
Thanks, bye!

Re: Gundam Seed and Gundam Seed Destiny Theme Songs Translation
Sorry, but you're only allowed to make one song request at a time. When your See-Saw translation is ready you can at that time make another.

Well, I'm really sorry but I don't get your request haha. Do you want us to translate those songs? If so, why do you put the english translation? We make our original translations, we cannot copy other people's work. However, if you made that translation and you want is just to be checked, please let me know ^^

However, yes, I'd like to have someone checked upon my works and reply asap...
P.S. I'd like to see people really use transliterations first, then translate the lyrics of the Gundam Songs asap....

Re: Gundam Seed and Gundam Seed Destiny Theme Songs Translation
First of all, as you know, you can only make ONE request at a time. Please try and be respectful of this rule.
I'm completely fine with you comparing my translations to yours. However, as for your statement "I often find that not all English translations really stick to the original mood"...I'm a little confused. Don't get me wrong, I'm flattered that you want to see my translations of these songs. But I have always been of the thought "If I can translate a song, why do I need to see someone else's interpretation of it?" If I understand the mood and feelings behind the song, then I KNOW what the song means. Therefore it is not necessary for me to look at someone else's sometimes incorrect interpretation of that song.
Now this isn't to say that I may not have done this in the past, it's very possible (especially if you look at some of my earlier translations I'm sure). Anyway, I guess my point is that if you want to see my translation just to challenge it, then you may want to think of my constructive ways to spend your time. When someone comes to me and says "Your translation is WRONG!", I generally handle it by simply ignoring it. However, I am more than willing to participate in an intelligent debate over a translation.
Anyway, just some thoughts. Make of them what you will.

Anyway, just some thoughts. Make of them what you will. As I've been emphasizing before, I always listen and sing along with the original Japanese Anime Theme Songs, such as "Akatsuki No Kuruma" (The Wheels of Dawn), "Honoh no Tobira" (The Doors of Flame), "nowhere", "Hitomi no Kakera" (The Fragments of the Eyes), Kouya Ruten (Vicissitudes in the Wilderness), all by FictionJunction YUUKA. Another important thing is that, in an authentic way, I always try to be really consistent, creative, committed, comfortable in my stanza-by-stanza, line-by-line, and word-by-word transliteration/translation, along with singing and dancing. That's how I really perfect my lyrics and music. By the way, could someone really try to sing along with the English transliteration of "Kimi wa Boku ni Niteiru" (You really resemble me) asap?
Thanks, bye! P.S. What I'm trying to say is that I want to be immersed and intensive with the songs, when I sing and dance along with the lyrics and the mood of them within my imagination, as I'm trying to be there.
