Former "Morning Musume" Member Goto Maki's Mother Passes Away

At approximately 10:55 PM on the 23rd in the Edogawa Ward of Tokyo on the way up to a private residence in Higashimizue, older sister of former member of idol group "Morning Musume" Goto Maki found the body of their mother Tokiko (55, lived in the residence) collapsed with blood coming from her head.

According to Officer Komatsugawa from Police Headquarters, the Goto residence was on the third floor and Tokiko could have accidentally fell through an open window, but the likelihood of suicide is high. No note was found, and there were no signs of struggle. At approximately 10:00 PM the same night Tokiko was seen by family members returning home drunk. Tokiko lived at home with Goto Maki and her older sister.
